SUNGURA artist, Mark Ngwazi, says all the hard work Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria put into his second album has paid off.
Ngwazi is humbled to have been helped by someone he regards as his father in the entertainment industry.
He said he had never Madzibaba Zakariah when showed up to his recording studio in 2017.
He said Madzibaba helped him on the song Vaimbi on the album titled Gudo Muriwo.
“Let me take this time to appreciate my father, Nicholas Zakariah.
“In 2017 when I wanted to release my second album, I looked for his number and contacted him to ask for his help. Without any hustle Madzibaba showed up at the studio I was recording my music.
“He helped me without even knowing me. After helping me on a song, he didn’t asked for any money.
“When he I called him, he didn’t know my name, he asked when he should come to the studio,” he said.
He added that Somandla Ndebele has been playing a big role in his career.
Ngwazi said the late John Chibadur’s music also inspired him.
He said the beat on one of Chibadura’s song helped him come up with the song Kugona Ngozi Kuiraira.
“Not forgetting the late John Chibadura, whose music was one of the things that made me love Sungura music. The beat on the song titled Rairai Vana helped me come up with my song Kugona Ngozi Kuiripa. May his soul continue to rest in peace,” he said.
