As the 2020 season is approaching, Yadah coach Genesis Mangombe says his side is ready to fight for their name as they prepare for their season.

Yadah finished 14th last season on the log standings, one point above relegated teams and three points away Dynamos who finished ninth.

In an interview with H-Metro, Mangombe said his side is good enough to compete next season.

“We are building a team with mentality of winning, there are no big guns in Premiership and we are going to fight for our name.

“The team is now shaping up but we still have some few slots which i need to strengthen,” Mangombe said.

Yadah gaffer said he is not worried about the departure of veteran players.

However, he admitted that his striking force is not good enough ahead of the upcoming season.

“My strike force is not that perfect so i want to work on my finishing aspects, i need maybe one striker or two strikers then the other one is the defensive link man.

“We have lost quiet a number of players but it does not matter, I’m going back to the drawing board and starts a new life and a new team, we want to work on understanding the type of play we want,” added Mangombe.

Yadah have added veteran defender Godfrey Mukambi from Dynamos, Amon Kambanje from Mushowani and Bright Chiyambuka from Triangle.

Mangombe said he want to use the experience and maturity of his new veterans to help the juniors understand the tempo of premiership.

“One positive thing we have added the experience of   Mukambi, Amon and Bright Chiyambuka in our squad and these guys are going to help the juniors to understand the tempo of premiership.

“We want to make sure the backline is strong, the goalkeeping line is strong, the defensive links strong is going to make sure that we got cover.

“We got everything so that we don’t concede goals because last season we have concede goals and that pushed us in relegation zone,” said Mangombe.

He added:

“Other departments are now safe, even the philosophy the guys are pealing it up, we are only left with some few grey areas we want to revive.
