OVER 25 dancehall artists from Zimbabwe and South African will tomorrow converge in Polokwane for a dancehall riddim launch, courtesy of Macbee Promotions.
The musical extravaganza will see upcoming artists from Zimbabwe joining 13 from Polokwane, Pretoria and Durban.

Organiser of the show, Maclaren ‘Macbeepromotions’ Chigwari, said preparations were well on course.
“All is set for the promotion company’s second anniversary in Polokwane and we have outlined over 25 artists, and over eight DJs, who will be spinning the wheels on stage at Capricorn Lounge in Makgofe.

“We are building on the new blood and fresh youthful artists, Djs and producers.

“We are expecting fireworks from these upcoming artists who have been competing on the riddim for the past few weeks. The competition has been running on our Facebook platforms,” he said.

Artists, including Hooligan, Jungle King, Black Fire and Segae, who is representing Bulawayo, Fire Queen and Koffie T will take part.

“I am happy to have this event coming to life. I am excited to see the upcoming artists coming together to showcase their talents.

‘We are combining this initiative between Zimbabweans and South Africans, something we believe is possible through arts. This has been a journey and we are growing by each passing event. We want our fans to come in their numbers and support their favourite rising artists.

“Guest artist will be H Spaccah and we are expecting fans to fill Capricorn Lounge in numbers. Local Djs Monday and Rodza Vibes are expected to run the show with SA artists like Dil Brill, LadyJ, Justin Production and Tough Boys on the mix.”

Mnaarz, Ramsey Predo, Ricardo Santos, Black Boss, Junior Sorry, King Samaz, Polokwane gospel sensation Pauline Gospel, King Ziggger, Queen Midyear and Queen Hkd are among the artists set to perform.
