PETER Moyo and Utakataka Express completed the first phase of the launch of his album, titled Mwana WaMambo, at an event held at Steak House in Harare on Sunday.
It was a memorable night for those present, as he combined the launch with his late father Tongai Moyo’s “Dewa Commemoration” show.
The album carries six tracks which include Igwe, Ruva Remuchato, Ndiwe Urikupisa, Mwari Wangu, Hatina Nguva and Ndangariro.
Peter believes the project gives out his best version as an artiste and is looking forward to some positive feedback.
The event marked 12 years since his father died.
“Launch was amazing and I was happy that my friends in this industry supported me.
“Well, this album is doing great and I am happy all is going well.
“I am giving you the best version of me.”
To him, it still feels like yesterday when his father died.
He is grateful to his father’s fans, who are still supporting his journey, and helping him in trying to keep the legacy alive.
“It’s 12 years now and it feels like we lost the legend yesterday because the support we are still getting is amazing,” he said.
