RADIO and television personality Phathisani “Masugar” Sibanda heaped praises on Star FM for giving him a chance to build his name as a presenter/producer of repute.
The Kambuzuma bred entertainer, who recently announced his departure from the station after a successful eight-year stint, said he would forever remain grateful to the station’s top brass for giving him an opportunity to shine.
Phathisani has since shared an emotional letter to his fans via his social media handles expressing his delight for the good times he had at Star FM.
“It is with a heavy heart that I advise my departure from place I have been privileged to call home for the past eight years.
“Star FM embraced a young man with a dream and helped mould and shape that dream into a reality.
“In life, growth and change are inevitable and I believe that the time has come in my career where I need to spread wings and pursue he next chapter of my dream.
“Indeed, Star FM has contributed immensely to the brand I have become today and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity that was given to me to shine,” he said.
In the same letter, Phathisani he praised management at Star FM for their guidance.
“To the management of Star FM – your guidance, support and continuous sound advice is something I will forever cherish as I move onto my next chapter.
“I appreciate being part of this great team of stars.
“Your mentorship and great leadership has helped me achieve my professional goals and for that I am grateful.
“You inspired me to keep pushing so I could always be the best version of myself, I feel blessed to have known and worked with you all,” he said.
He also thanked fellow workmates and various stakeholders who have flown her to various places.
