“The doctors have confirmed that right-back MacClive Phiri who fractured a right humerus in today’s (Sunday) goalless stalemate against Herentals FC will miss the action for at least six weeks,” tweeted Highlanders.
The club, on their website described Benza’s challenge on Phiri as horrific tackling which was part of Herentals’ ‘dirty’ tricks to earn a point a Barbourfields.
“That Highlanders have gone for eight consecutive league matches without a win is indeed a major concern, but the major highlight of the Sunday match was when Tinotenda Benza literally turned the tie into a rugby match with some tackles that could have left Tendai ‘The Beast’ Mtawarira green with envy,” reported the club on their website.
