Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya says maintaining fitness for the players has been difficult but has been working tirelessly to make sure they keep fit.
All football activities have been suspended due to COVID-19 – including the local Premiership.
“Covid-19 is real and is upon us.
“We have no option but to stay indoors to curb the spread of the virus.
“It’s been difficult to train as a unit but our fitness department led by Tendai Chituwa has been working tirelessly to maintain the fitness gains of the past few weeks,” he said.
Ndiraya says it’s his wish for the pandemic to end and they’re not used to work indoors.
“It is our wish for the pandemic to be contained so that we all get back to work.
“We are not used to working indoors and this has really been difficult for us .
“The past seven days have been hell but who are we to defy the government directive.
“It’s an important measure which will help create a good and healthy working environment,” he said.
He added that it’s their duty as role models to help government spread the message of the virus to the public.
“The pandemic is real and it is our duty as role models to help the government to spread the correct message which will assist in curbing the spread of the pandemic.
“And we’ve been doing all we can to make sure that the message is spread,” he said.
