PRINCE Edward and Churchill High Schools clash this afternoon in the opening game of the Eversharp Under-20 Schools basketball tournament.
More than 20 boys and 12 girls’ schools are expected to feature at the two-day tournament.
Prince Edward and Girls High are the defending champions.
Prince Edward will face competition from NASH Under-20 champions St Bernard’s of Bulawayo, Churchill, Dzivaresekwa 2 High and Kutama College, among others.
Girls High will have to contend with Mt Pleasant, Murehwa High, Evelin High and Bradley High.
Tournament coordinator, Sledge Chinyoka, said:
“We are looking forward to a big and better tournament as we have already started processing the fixtures and the verification process.
“We are expecting over 30 schools and PE and Girls High are the defending champions.
“We are looking forward to a competitive event as the tournament is growing with each passing year.”
Eversharp marketing manager, Tonderai Kamusoko, said they are happy to have the tournament back and are looking forward to a competitive tourney.
