SOUTH AFRICA-BASED house music producer Panashe “Master Shekkor” Chamboko has engaged South African songstress Muungu Queen in a song, Stay with me.
Master Shekkor who uplifts the standards of rising artistes said he has engaged Muungu Queen-real name Sindiswa Shobede as to diversify the music.
“It’s a love song inspired by true life events that transpired in my life.
“I feel the song shall bring more couples together and keep the masses warm this winter with as the song also has an up tempo groove.
“I am also dropping another music video today (Friday) and I am always unveiling a potential songstress.
“I want to help female musicians to be part of the house music and make a break in the market this side,” he said.
“I saw it fit to work with her because I knew she was able to bring out the concept that I had in mind with her.
“Her angelic voice acts a neutralizer to the aggression to the beat resulting in something magical and also for the mere fact that she has worked with some of the people I look up to and also draw inspiration from.”
Master said Muungu Queen was part of the group Muungu Africa.
“She was part of the music group Muungu Africa before the band decided to take a break and allow band members to pursue their solo careers.
“The band got together in 2012 and their 2014 debut album, with the single Dakalo made headlines in Lusophone Africa, they also performed in Angola and they gained popularity in Portugal, Brazil and Mozambique,” he added.
Muungu Africa has produced quite a number of hit songs such as Lazaro which also features industry giants; Busiswa and Niniola. Another hit song which Muungu Africa is well known for Dali wami featuring “The Shumaya Hit Makers”, Trademark. Muungu Africa has also worked with Zimbabwean Music Producer DJ Stavo.
