Chitungwiza based music producer, Austine “Decco Beats” Munyaradzi, is this week expected to release a riddim aimed at supporting female musicians titled, Ladies Audition.
The riddim, which is courtesy of Real Music Records (RMR), will be accompanied by a video medley.
Decco Beats said the purpose of the Ladies Audition riddim is to give the female chanters a chance to shine in a male dominated industry.
“We have decided to exclusively have the girl child on this riddim because girls always lack the main recognition in this patriarchal infested industry.
“As such, we are giving them a chance to showcase their talents to the public,” said Decco Beats.
“Due to issues of financial constraints, it can be hard to have their voices heard as the monetary problems affect all regardless of gender.
“The motive is good and we want more female voices in the industry.”
The 25-year-old said this is his first project to only focus on female artistes.
“We have some talented ladies that will be on Ladies Audition riddim in the form of Thelma, Memo Villa, Angel Sweetness, Cherry B, Tatiana and others.
“This is our first project to precisely let the ladies take the lead. More unique projects will follow depending on the output we will derive from this current one,” he said.
Despite having a riddim for women only, Decco Beats, is also working on another riddim titled Reggae Motion.
“Reggae Motion is another riddim that will follow but it’s not going to be released after Ladies Audition.
“This one is going to include Ras Caleb, Tatman, Starman, Junior Fire, Dada Didonke, Junior Semchris and many more artistes.
“It will also come with a video medley done and produced by Slimdoggz Entertainment,” added Decco Beats.
Decco Beats professionally started to produce music in 2017.
He has so far worked with some popular Zim dancehall artistes such as Ras Caleb, Lady B, Jerry B, Hwinza and others.
