OS coach Lloyd Mutasa will not be changing his mind on how he uses Ocean Mushure in the team despite the serious injury to left back Carlos Rusere.
Mushure himself is suffering from a shoulder injury and missed yesterday’s training.
However, he is expected to be back soon before Rusere can start kicking the ball.
His cultured left foot will still be utilised fully on the left side of midfield when he returns, according to coach Mutasa.
“We have no plans whatsoever to change his role in the team. He is effective that way, playing in midfield,” Mutasa told H-Metro.
“He didn’t train today because of the shoulder but we expect him back soon. Yes, it is unfortunate we have lost Carlos who was playing the left back, but we will have to look for other players that can play that role.
“Phakamani Dube has played there before and we have Romario who can play the same position,” he added.
Ocean has turned out to be one of the most important players for Dynamos in the past games.
Since his arrival from the Warriors’ Cosafa triumph in South Africa, where he was played as a left midfielder with success, he has continued that way at Dynamos.
“It is different from a match situation, when the left back is injured. The automatic decision in that situation is for him is to revert back to left back because maybe we would have exhausted all our substitutes.
“It will be for just that match situation but our planning for a new match will always be different. We are hoping though that both Ocean and Carlos are back soon for our league matches,” he said.
