MUTARE-based jazz sensation, Rutendo Jackie, is elated after being embraced by Harare fans last weekend.
The songbird, who was touring the capital on an audience building mission, said she will return to the Eastern Highlands with a lot of optimism and having established some strong links.
During the tour, she held a series of performances at Jasen Mphepo Little Theatre, Gava Restaurant and Spitzkop Leisure Centre.
In an interview with H-Metro, Jackie’s manager, Byron Kabaira, said the tour was a huge success.
“We just recently held Jackie’s first Harare tour.
“She is Mutare based and recently won the award for the Best Manicaland Female Artist award so we decided to do a tour to grow her brand by performing in and outside Harare.”
“The tour, as far as we are concerned, was a very huge success. There were great turnouts of people at all the places we toured.
“We had the likes of Vimbai Zimuto, Eunice Ratidzo, among others.
“Solutions GC supported the tour as she also performed on Saturday and Sunday.
“Jackie has been in the music industry for some time now and she has never looked back in her quest to succeed.
“She released her first album in 2019 and now she is working on more music, especially audios,” he said.
Kabaira was upbeat the songbird, who is blessed with a powerful voice and has prolific song-writing skills, will certainly make it into the elite league of stars.
