Melfort defender Shaun Sabuneti is dreaming to play in the top-flight next season after putting a good performance throughout the season for his side.
The 19-year-old has managed to score 14 goals despite playing as a defender.
“I am very happy with my performance this season; we have been playing very well as a team.
“I have manged to score 14 goals while our region top goal score has 15 and it’s not over yet since I am going to score another two goals in our last game.
“I want to be on the top,” he said.
He also added that even though the team failed to meet their target, they did their best and will continue with their mission next season.
“Initially we wanted to end the season in top four, but we didn’t manage to play well in the first half of the season due to in-house issues.
“We pick up a good form in the second half and we have managed to accumulate nine wins, eight draws and 12 loses.
“I am very happy with what we managed to achieve,” he said.
He also said he would like to play in the PSL at Manica Diamonds.
“I also wish to play in the PSL while I am this young and I always wish to play for Manica Diamonds,” he said.
Sabuneti feels that everything that he has achieved is because of teammates.
“I would like to applaud my coach, teammates and the executive members of my club, they always encourage me to do the best and I promise to follow their ideas wherever I go,” he said.
