THE Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo in Bulawayo has attracted more than 365 companies, with a notable increase in international exhibitors from 23 last year to 34 this year.
The expo starts today and ends on Saturday.
Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Barbara Rwodzi, said the international exhibitors are from South Africa, Mozambique, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Iran and Botswana.
There will also be 100 buyers from key source markets from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and America.
The expo will offer forums and social events, including a buyers’ cocktail welcome party, tourism investment forum and a food festival.
“Running alongside the exhibition will be forums and social events aimed at further affording exhibitors and buyers more time to engage and share ideas,” said Minister Rwodzi.
Some of the highlights are a food expo, tourism career guidance seminar, speed networking session for exhibitors and buyers, tourism investment forum and a Sanganai braai and booze festival.
