…ex Black Spirits members endorse diva
DIVA of the moment, Selmor Mtukudzi, is upbeat her much-hyped concert slated for Andy Millar on March 29 will go according to plan.
As the countdown to the high profile bash gathers momentum, Selmor has every reason to be ecstatic as she has the genuine backing of former Black Spirits members.
Today, Selmor will proudly present the elders at a luncheon to be held at Garwe Restaurant in Eastlea.
All the artistes in the line-up comprising Suluman Chimbetu, Andy Muridzo, Jah Signal, Steve Makoni and Sasha are set to grace the event.
South Africa based chanter Jah Seed is also part of the line-up, thanks to show organiser Josh Hozheri.
In an interview, Hozheri said it was all systems go.
“We have done all the ground work and I can safely say Selmor is ready for the event.
“Of course all the eyes would be on Selmor but we urge fans to come in numbers and show her true love that she needs.
“We are hosting a luncheon where some of the former Black Spirits members like Eric “Picky” Kasamba, Never Mpofu and percussionist Strovers Shadaya are set to grace the luncheon.
“We just want Selmor and all the artistes in the line-up to mingle as we prepare ourselves for the big day when Tuku will be remembered on song and dance,” he said.
Josh urged fans to continue showing Selmor true love in her quest to keep her late father’s legacy alive.
“It’s no doubt Selmor is the one who has been anointed as the heir to the Tuku Music throne and there is nothing wrong in showing her love.
“As such, we urge fans to show her love by attending her show to be held next week,” he added.
Fans will have to fork out $20 for the ordinary ticket and $50 for VIP.
The must-attend pungwe starts at 8pm.
