AFTER enduring a seven-match winless stretch, Karoi United have parted ways with head coach Elvis “Chuchu” Chiweshe.

Chiweshe, who has been in charge of the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League outfit from the start of the season, was shown the exit door on Monday.

A 0-1 defeat, at the hands of Ngezi Platinum Under-19, was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Chiweshe.

In a statement, Karoi United chairman, Charles Henry Marime, said they had parted ways with the former Dynamos coach.

Assistant coach, Nixon Kondo, and goalkeepers’ coach, Gilfin Chambati, have also been axed.

“The mutual separation is with immediate effect and has been influenced by the team’s performances in the 2024 Northern Region Soccer League season.

“We wish to express our gratitude to the services rendered by coach Chiweshe and his lieutenants and the club wish them the best in their next assignments,” said Marime.
