MIDFIELDER Tanaka “Kante” Shandirwa says he is humbled by the “special” way the Dynamos fans have embraced him since his arrival at the Glamour Boys.

He moved to the Harare giants from Yadah.

The tireless midfielder has transformed himself into one of the most important players at DeMbare.

“The way the Dynamos fans have embraced me is special,” he told Zimpapers Sport.

“I feel a special bond between us and I am grateful for the love they have shown me and the club.

“The way they appreciate us makes me feel that I have a bright future at the club.”

 He added:

“Since I joined Dynamos, I can say so far so good.

“I have adapted well and the idea is to keep on working hard and try to improve in all aspects as I keep learning on a daily basis.

“I am focused and I believe with extra effort I will achieve more with the club.”

The Glamour Boys had eased into within striking range of leader Ngezi Platinum Stars in the championship race only to suffer a setback in a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bulawayo Chiefs at Barbourfields on Sunday.

Shandirwa missed that match and was seen partying at a show hosted by DJ Fantan and his crew at Mashwede Village.

“We need to remain focused as a team on our goals and work to get maximum points in our upcoming matches,” he said.

“The team might have suffered a setback but it’s part of football which simply means we have to work extra hard and find ourselves back on our feet.

“We are facing CAPS United in our next match, which is a big match for us. It’s a derby and it has nothing to do with form.

“These types of matches are normally decided on the pitch and we have to prepare ourselves well physically, mentally and tactically for us to achieve our goals.”
