NEWCOMERS Sheasham are confident of shocking Dynamos in a league match at Bata Stadium on Sunday.
The Gweru side are enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in which they have won two, including a stunning victory over champions FC Platinum at Mandava, and drawn three games.
Dynamos won the reverse fixture 4-0 at the National Sports Stadium, with two own goals coming from Sheasham.
Lizwe Sweswe, the Sheasham coach, says his charges are focused on an upset.
“The boys are working so hard at training knowing it’s a big game and looking forward to a good result.
“Our current run in the league is a motivation to the boys as it’s a morale booster.
“It gives the boys confidence going forward.”
Sweswe said he has not made significant changes to the team he took over from John Nyikadzino.
Instead, he has focused on hard work and instilling self-belief in the boys.
Sweswe was the first coach to hand DeMbare a defeat this season while at Bulawayo Chiefs.
Sunday’s game gives him an opportunity to complete a double over the Glamour Boys.
Unlike in the first half of the season, Sweswe is expecting a different match altogether after Genesis Mangombe took charge of the team.
“I can’t talk of improvements in the team but it’s all about hard work and focus.
“The team needs self-belief.
“It’s a different game with a new team but all I am looking forward to is doing well for Sheasham.
“It won’t be an easy match, Dynamos have a new coach now and all things will change in approach and strategies.
“Going into this match we expect positive things.
“We have no injuries but our goalkeeper is on suspension.”
