ZIMDANCEHALL sensation, Silent Killer, has been announced as cover for Nkosazana’s Daughter’s upcoming concert at Jongwe Corner this Saturday.
Trevor Dongo is also set to perform at the event. Nkosazana’s Daughter has performed successful gigs in Beitbridge, Bulawayo and Gwanda before arriving in Harare.
The 23-year-old amapiano star, who boasts of club bangers such as Sofa Silahlane and collaborative hit Dali Nguwe, is a tried and tested performer who gives it all on stage.
The show’s coordinator, Kudzaishe Matondo, has put together a star-studded line-up of DJs, including MC Gudo, DJ Tony Touch, SDJ Fitzroy and DJ Sicko Fyah, hoping to usher patrons into a bright weekend of entertainment.
Matondo has previously hosted several South African artists and believes that hosting international artists can encourage local artists to learn from their counterparts and promote professionalism and honesty in the industry.
“We have put together what we think will be a good show by including Silent Killer and Trevor Dongo in the line-up. After the Harare show, we are also going to hold another show at Jongwe Corner Chinhoyi on Sunday. Silent Killer is also part of the line-up along with others,” said Matondo.
“In this industry, we ought to learn from each other, especially the way business should be done. It all takes professionalism and honesty to win the hearts of these artists to come and perform here.
“In our case, we have a track in showbiz, and everything is in the public domain.”
Meanwhile, advance tickets are already on sale at Jongwe Corner Harare and Chinhoyi.
The two venues are known for hosting high-profile events and a host of South African artists have performed at the two places in recent months.
