Afro jazz sensation Rudo Rukobo has rebranded from Rux to WekwaRukobo as a way of expanding her territory.
The singer, who draws inspiration from Jah Prayzah, Mbuya Stella Chiweshe, Chiwoniso, and Andy Brown, says she respects her roots.
“We The Rux Muzik brand is pleased to announce its expansion into performing arts, and subsequently, rebranding from Rux to WekwaRukobo.
“WeKwaRukobo is now a brand name and musically we are currently working on an album with Shabach entertainment featuring Jah Master and Tocky Vibes,” she said.
Under the new brand, Rudo said there will be many initiatives under the banner.
“Under WeKwaRukobo we have Afro Jazz and traditional musicians, modelling, acting, TV and radio presenting.
“It’s now also a clothing label which will cater for outfits for all events including sportswear, winter wear and casual,” she said.
WekwaRukobo started her career in 2016 and is looking forward to being recognised among other best musicians.
To her credit, WekwaRukobo has some songs which include Ndimambo, Makorokoto, Amai, Machena and the grass is green.
