SPRITE in Zimbabwe has launched a new lemon-lime soda aimed at attracting a younger consumer market, aged between 12 and 35 years.
The new soda is part of the “Heat Happens, Stay Cool” global campaign and was launched in Harare on Friday.
The move is also in line with the Coca-Cola Company’s drive to offer new experiences that encourage individuals to stay cool in heated temperatures.
Coca-Cola Zimbabwe country manager, Archbold Ndlovu, said the refreshed logo and packaging design emphasises the brand’s natural flavours and sustainability commitment.
“For Us Life Is Full of Heat. Heat is everywhere. It is the everyday moments of our lives, it’s in the simple things, the meal that brings the family together, the dance that connects us in rhythm, the song that brings a smile, a single hope filled hug, popping open an ice-cold bottle of Sprite, cooling down together.
“The campaign also introduces a new visual identity for Sprite, with a revamped logo and packaging design that emphasizes the brand’s natural flavours and sustainability commitment.
“The ‘Heat happens’ seeks to give the consumer power to overcome, cool down in whatever they are going through and at the same time bringing in the elements of fun which work hand-in-hand with our belief as Sprite,” said Ndlovu.
The “Sprite Heat Happens” was launched in May 2022 to remind people to stay cool in the face of unavoidable and potentially annoying moments that are part of daily life.
The campaign is a long-term brand philosophy and belief that will drive and guide marketing and communications across the Coca-Cola trademark.
