DANCERS Association of Zimbabwe life president Harpers Mapamhidze reckons it’s high time members think outside the box to make ends meet, writes TRUST KHOSA.

The seasoned entertainment consultant said the begging culture should come to an end.

“I understand we are living in such trying times where those who think outside the box are making a lot of progress in life.

“As their leader, I have since shifted my focus to mining where I am now a full time employee to be able to bring food to the table.

“I understand most DAZ members have been anticipating time when the sector will be allowed to operate, but with the surge in new coronavirus infections, we need to brace for tough times ahead if we don’t really work hard.

“I therefore urge members of DAZ to think of projects that can help them realise some money.

“We are likely to spend the greater part of 2021 on lockdown if the new infections are not contained and therefore we need to really think outside the box.

“We can no longer survive on food handouts, but we need to work hard and look after our families. “Of course, I might be deemed heartless but in the eyes of the people I represent, but we need to really work hard and stop relying on food handouts,” he said.

Mapimhidze, who also doubles as Beverly Sibanda’s manager, said the Sexy Angels boss has always been a hard worker.

“On Beverly, I can safely say that she has always been a hard working woman who has managed to utilise her links for the good.

“Beverly is now a mature person who can read between the lines and she doesn’t want to be reminded of what to do in such trying times.

“As her manager, I will always be there for her and I just wish that she continues assisting others, especially her members.

“Beverly is one person who believes in hard work and she knows how to hustle for a living unlike most dancers who are now stranded,” he added.
