SULUMAN Chimbetu, who has just returned from his tour of Botswana, will Wednesday night perform at Dandaro Inn in the capital for the Unity Day Eve gig.

With people from all walks of life expected to celebrate the Unity Accord tomorrow, Sulu has decided to start the celebrations this evening with a special performance.

The show is Sulu’s second performance in the capital since the release of his new album, Jamboree.

The musician’s publicist Joe Local Nyamungoma has urged fans to come in their numbers to have a feel of the new album.

“After the release of the album, we went o Botswana and this makes the show special and important for our fans.

“We’ll be celebrating the unity accord as well our new album which is receiving a very good response from our fans,” said Local.

Local said the new album came at the right time and music lovers have something to celebrate the holiday with.

“I believe it was good timing from our side, we wanted something that makes our fans enjoy during the festive season and Jamboree is the thing.

“We’ve lined up a number of shows begging at Dandaro Inn on December 21 and the idea is to make fans familiarise with the new music,” he said.

He added:

“Captain Sulu continues to celebrate the new album with fans. We’ll perform in different parts of the country and after Harare we’re going to Bindura on December 22.

“On Friday we will be performing at The Volt (formerly Book Café) and Christmas Eve we perform in Halfway. The big show is at the home of dendera music, Mushandirapamwe Hotel on December 25.”
