THE Sunshine City Festival, a massive two-day music and sports entertainment gala at Old Hararians Sports Club, is set to be the biggest event this month.

It will be held on March 29 and 30.

Organisers, Tamba Events, have included top artists among them Jah Prayzah, Winky D, Ex Q, Mokoomba, Selmor Mtukudzi, Killer T and the Chillspot Family.

“We are planning something big and we realised that we don’t celebrate our city enough so we needed a concept that celebrates Harare and its people, hence the moniker Sunshine City.

“Having braai only makes us limit ourselves in Harare since we all have different tastes,” said Tamba Events director, Nigel Chinovhiringa.

He added:

“We are dreaming big and want to make the festival one of the biggest in Southern Africa.

“We are celebrating a city that is known across the world by creating a special atmosphere showcasing the capital’s vibrant music scene and sporting talents.”

The event, which coincides with the Easter Holidays, will also feature various artists, among them Master H, Bling 4 and wheel-spinners Garry B and Etherton Bennie.

On Tuesday, organisers announced that the tickets, which were released for the first phase, had been sold out.
