GOSPEL musician Farai “Pastor Shalom” Gukuta, who earns a living as a taxi driver, says he is using his proceeds to boost his music career.
The 33-year-old family man said he knows the future is bright because he believes God is blessing him.
Speaking to H-Metro, Pastor Shalom said he has been using his profits to buy music instruments.
“I would like to own a band as soon as possible.
“Since I don’t have sponsors I am using the money I get from my taxi business to buy music instruments and to record.
“I realised that if you don’t have a band in this industry you could face impediments along the way,” said Pastor Shalom.
He said God was blessing him.
“With the little that I make and the commitment that I have, I can say it’s a miracle that I am managing.
“Gospel music is part of my calling and I make sacrifices so that I preach the Word through music,” he said.
Pastor Shalom started his music career in 2014.
He has four albums to his credit, Zvakatanga Sedambe, Zvakaitwa Nenyasha, Zvakakwana Zvavakandiita and Zvavaida Zvakakona.
He also has a singles collection.
He records with TNC Studios, Kunashe Studios and AD Studios.
