TOP Bodybuilder Gideon Teguru says he was well prepared for the Harare Classic title, which he claimed at Reps Theatre at the weekend.
Teguru, who previously won the title in 2021, outclassed Classic Dzvokora and South Africa based Nigel Maphosa, who settled for second and third respectively.
Teguru took home some silverware and pocketed US$2000.
“The competition was very tough but I think I came to this show ready and prepared and that’s why I managed to win.
“It’s all about hard work and I want to thank my coach, friends, relatives and my family for supporting me throughout this journey.
“Last year I failed to defend my title because something wrong happened before the show but this time around all my condition and mind was on point.”
In the men’s physique Jose Luquembo defeated the defending champion Blessing Sithole, who settled for second place ahead of Weignrace Masendeke who was placed third.
In the women Bikini fitiness, Gweru based Yeukai Midzi clinched the title ahead of Zambian Martha Favour Ngoma and Mitchel Chivake.
