TOP scorer David Temwanjira says the going gets tough when you are on top and defenders are assigned to mark you out of the game.

The Shabanie Mine star has scored six goals this season.

“At times when you are the top goal scorer in many of your games people will come just to defend you.

“At times it will be really hard for you to find a way to score,” he told H-Metro.

He was speaking after the 2-1 defeat to Harare City at Rufaro on Wednesday.

“I’m just praying that I keep on scoring more goals even though it is difficult to do so.

“I am targeting to score in each and every game that I will play. The team is well organised, it is a good team.”

On Harare City, he said: “They play as a team, they fight as a team and they also defend as a team.

“It is a better side, they utilised the chances they got and their defenders did a fair job to deny us the opportunity to score.

“The game started at 50-50 in the first half. We were doing okay.

“And then everything changed in the second half, our defenders were not solid and they made errors that cost us.”
