BIDVEST Wits look set to give Terrence Dzvukamanja a trial stint during the PSL break after being impressed by the star.
As exclusively revealed by H-Metro in the past weeks, the Wits technical director travelled to Harare to watch the PSL top scorer in action for Ngezi Platinum against Harare City, and what they saw at COSAFA has convinced them he can be a good addition to their team.
The Ngezi Platinum star featured for the Warriors when they brushed aside Zambia 4-2 in Polokwane to win the COSAFA Cup final.
“Wits could give the player a trial with the club. Remember they didn’t have the best of seasons and they are one of the clubs in the ABSA Premiership who are trying to build a good side.
“Terrence is one of their targets but he will have to impress the coach first. The chances are 50-50. And if they open negotiations, it will be subject to Ngezi, who are chasing the league title, agreeing,” a source said.
In the absence of Dzvukamanja, Ngezi Platinum have struggled, losing back-to-back matches to Bulawayo Chiefs and FC Platinum.
On Saturday Tonderai Ndiraya’s charges had taken a 1-0 lead, before allowing a comeback by their rivals FC Platinum.
Terrence’s return will be a big boost for the club, but if he eventually makes a move this transfer window, Ndiraya will have to find another big star among his charges to carry the burden for the remainder of the season.
