THE SUN IS SHINING FOR MC FORTUE

MASTER of ceremonies, Fortunes “MC Fortue” Chihota, says the Nyathi family wedding she co-hosted last month has been a major boost for her career.

The 34-year-old said she has since managed to host a number of events from the contacts she picked at Nyati’s wedding.

MC Fortue, who started her journey a few years ago, hopes to create a profile that will see her gracing international events.

In an interview with H-Metro, MC Fortue said the invitation to the Nyathi family wedding was a surprise and she grabbed the opportunity.

“We all have deep desires and dreams that have been on our wish lists for a while and this was a huge once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.

“After the wedding, I know now that God had His own plans for me.

“I grew up as a very shy person but through church events, I learnt to stand and talk to groups of people during services and I am very grateful for the teachings and training that I received at a young age, because they all started to help as I got older.”

She added:

“I have hosted events for people who I never saw myself getting close to and I have shared tables with achievers who have impacted my life and helped me grow as a brand and as an individual.

“At first, I would get nervous or get stage fright before events but now I can stand in front of new faces daily and nothing scares me, I just do my job and enjoy every moment.

“For the past two years, I have learnt how to interact with people and excite them also. I know that I am different from the others.”
