HIGHLANDERS were not in South Africa last weekend but their presence was felt at the country’s biggest football stadium.
That’s the enduring power of Bosso.
When they take on eternal rivals Dynamos at Barbourfields on Sunday, Bosso are set to welcome scores of their fans from across the Limpopo.
The Nyathi family are regular visitors to the City of Kings, from their base in Mzansi, when Highlanders welcome special guests at Barbourfields.
This weekend is unlikely to be different with Nodumo Nyathi, a paid-up Bosso member, set to travel for a date with his favourite football club.
On Saturday, they were at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg for the MTN8 showdown between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.
They decided to go out dressed in their Bosso colours and they were surprised with what they saw.
“You will not believe the number of people who stopped us for photos,” said Nyathi.
“Bosso has so many supporters out there, if only we could go out there and bring everyone together we will (go) far.”
