Tino Kadewere says he cannot wait to don his jersey for Lyon after the date for French Ligue season was announced.
Kadewere is expected to make his Ligue 1 debut in August after the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) set the dates when the 2020/21 season will start.
The Warriors striker will play for Lyon in the coming campaign after signing a 4-and-a-half-year contract in January
“It’s a new chapter in my career and l can’t wait to play and for the adventure.
“I know the challenges this brings and l’m ready to do all l can and prove my worth to the team.
“But l can say is that l’m excited and looking forward to the new challenge,” he said.
“Yes l had missed football and l missed playing.
“And if the relevant authorities says its time to resume or its not yet safe to resume, we just have to follow orders because what’s important at the end of the day is the safety and health of the people.
So yeah even if we miss football and playing we just have to consider the risks.
“But l can’t wait to go back to the pitch when this is all over.”
The 24 year old who was crowned the French Ligue 2 golden boot winner says he doesn’t want to put pressure on himself yet but will try to play his normal game.
“Generally football is the same but only philosophies different.
“I will just try to play my normal game but of course Ligue 1 is more competitive than Ligue 2.
“But will try to play my normal game and try to adjust where l need and told to.
“And as a player l will do what l’m told to do and all l can say is l’m ready for any challenge,” he said.
Kadewere will be playing along with Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi in the French top-flight.
