TOCKY Vibes says he is enjoying his newly-found musical romance with gospel artists.

Speaking to H-Metro, the Zim dancehall stalwart, said collaborations with gospel artists like Vabati VaJehova, Mathias Mhere and Peace Gospel Choir have opened new doors for him.

“The content and some lyrics that we use in music is a shared thing.

“In secular music, we can use gospel lyrics as well so when I feature in gospel songs, it would not be a new thing to me.

“I am enjoying working with these gospel artists although I did not know some of them until we met on the video shoot day,” he said.

The Rugare-bred chanter hailed Lyton Ngolomi for linking him with various gospel artists.

“My producer Lyton Ngolomi of Lyngo Beats Studios is the one who chooses the gospel artists that I work with.

“I have done a song with the Peace Gospel Choir called Shamwari Yakanaka, which was released last week, and we are shooting the video this weekend.

“Working with these gospel artists has made me realise my talent and gain a different experience from them, since it is a different genre,” he said.

Peace Gospel Singers Choir founder, Itayi Sandras, said he chose Tocky because he is gifted.

“We understand that, as artists, we need to unite and do some great things.

“Tocky is a great artist no doubt, creative and down-to-earth, he is a pleasure to work with.

“This song we did means that Jesus Christ is the only faithful witness, a friend who does not betray you and fulfils His promises.

“Our first hit song was Tinosumudza Maoko which featured Takesure Zamar.

“We did collaborations with other gospel artists like Wency Mpostori and Kuda Mutsvene,” said Itayi.
