TOTTENHAM have completed the loan signing of Germany international Timo Werner.
The former Chelsea hitman has joined the North Londoners from German giants RB Leipzig until the end of the season.
But Spurs chief Ange Postecoglou does have the option to permanently acquire his services should he take his fancy.
After teasing his arrival on social media, Spurs announced the signing of the 27-year-old — who will wear the No.16 shirt – on their official website.
An excerpt of a club statement read: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig, subject to international clearance.
“The Germany international will join the Club on loan until the end of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
“He will wear the number 16 shirt.”
SunSport understands Spurs have the option to buy Werner in the summer for a fee between the region of £13million and £17m. Werner will be hoping his Chelsea form won’t follow him back to London.
