A FAMILY tragedy is inspiring an 8-year-old model to push for success in her career.
Emilia Kache started modelling at the age of six after being inspired by the death of her brother in a swimming pool accident.
Her coach Munya Thelkool, from the Miss Business Norton Zimbabwe, even believes Emilia will one day take the Miss Universe title.
Her mother, Nyaradzo Rejoice Mafunga, told H-Metro that after the tragic loss of her brother, she decided to enrol Kache into modelling.
Her brother died when they were swimming at their uncle’s home.
He was just 10.
“Ever since birth I noticed she enjoys getting pictures in different poses. It’s amazing because at six years she joined the Little Miss Funhouse Zimbabwe and she won the title.”
Mafunga said lat year, Emilia competed for the Little Mr and Miss Africa Zimbabwe title and took home to second princess title.
She will compete again this year and is targeting the title.
“On the June 1st , she competed in the Kid’s and Teens modelling contest in search of their brand ambassador and she made it into the top five.
“People can follow her on Facebook and her handle is Emmy the Model.”
Emilia is a Grade Three pupil at Intellect Primary Private school and her headmaster and staff are fully behind her.
