Women in the United Kingdom have combined forces to equip each other through transformative gatherings aimed at empowering them for self-sustainability.
One of the women, who are pioneering such initiatives is Ruth Kudzai-Dube, whose programme, The Executive Brunch has been spearheading such empowering initiatives.
Since its inception in 2022, The Executive Branch has established itself as an empowering, must-attend event where women gather to ignite ambition, exchange knowledge, and form lasting connections.
This year, the transformative third edition was held on October 26, with Ruth and Kelly Kuziva hosting an inspiring day designed to uplift, encourage, and equip women with tools for personal and professional growth.
“The Executive Branch is not just a platform but it’s a movement. We understand the nuances of professional life and have crafted an empowering space that connects and empowers ambitious women for professional and personal success.
“In a world where confidence is the currency of success, we not only boost but actively develop the confidence of women.
“Connecting eager and zealous ambitious women from all walks of life, we bring together a community determined to grow and succeed setting strong representation for future generations.
“We believe in the strength of shared experiences. Our community of diverse women fosters intergenerational learning that spans wisdom across ages.
“Women learn from real-world examples of women who are confidence builders, barrier breakers, and thriving both personally and professionally,” she said.
Ruth further said that the Executive Branch is a catalyst for evolution, providing resources and support for women to thrive.
“Our events create safe spaces for women to practice and enhance their confidence in low-stakes environments to climb the career ladder.
“It’s not just about climbing the ladder and it’s about continuously developing and growing.
“The event’s success was bolstered by the support of its headline sponsor, Property Shop, along with valued partners such as Nyaradzo Group UK, Fernley Hill Consultancy, Mhukahuru Tours, Tutorial Home Junior and Senior School, and Mr. Rocca London.
“These partnerships reflect a collective dedication to enhancing women’s journeys in leadership, wellness, and entrepreneurship.”
Highlights of the day included insightful sessions by Sarah Garande, who reinforced resilience and purpose, and Dr. Reeny from Abantu Therapy, who shared techniques for managing stress and cultivating mindfulness.
Rumbidzai Mutopo shared practical ways that women can reduce debt and protect their assets.
“Dr. Maureen Mandipaza’s story from her beginnings in nursing to becoming an award-winning entrepreneur stood out as an inspiration, offering actionable advice to help attendees evolve toward their highest potential.
“A powerful panel discussion featuring Trish Hakata, Farai Mlotshwa, and Tafadzwa Mupezeni (MisFay) alongside Dr Maureen Mandipaza engaged the audience with candid conversations on overcoming societal expectations, building resilience, and finding supportive relationships.
“Networking sessions offered further opportunities to connect, alongside interactive exhibitions from sponsors and a lively Sadza cooking demo by Cooking with Caz.
“Through initiatives like these, The Executive Branch continues to be a sanctuary for women to connect, share, and grow on both personal and professional levels.
“We are expecting to have another function in Zimbabwe next year around May.”
