A MUTARE trio was dragged to court over the weekend facing fraud charges.
Wilson Masokowere, Temba Sauramba and Batsirai Mafoshoro were not asked to plead, when they appeared before Harare magistrate, Yeukai Dzuda.
Obadiah Musindo, the complainant, is the founder and president of Destiny of Afrika Network [DANet], which owns Boltspeed Security Services (Pvt) Ltd. Allegations are that in February 2018, Musindo registered the company, to provide security services to Boltspeed Contractors (Pvt) Ltd, and its sister companies. Musindo appointed Masokowere, as one of the directors of the security firm, but did not allocate him any shares of the company.
Mafoshoro was the company secretary.
It is the State case that in October 2021, Musindo went to check company documents, at the Companies and Deeds Office, and noted the documents had been tampered with. It is alleged the documents showed Musindo had resigned on 3 May 2018, which he never did.
He further established, the court heard, that Masokowere connived and engaged the services of Mafoshoro, to allegedly fraudulently forge company documents. In those documents, Musindo was removed as the director of the company, without any written notice. Sauramba was appointed as the new director of the company.
Allegations are that the trio went on to consult Nyaradzo Chirisa, who assisted them in acquiring the forged documents. According to the State, as a result of the trio’s actions, Musindo suffered prejudice to the good administration of his company, and his reputation.
