Inimitable saxophonist Phillip Svosve says the late Oliver Mtukudzi taught them to love each other.

Svosve who worked with Tuku at Ocean City Band said the former Black Spirits leader had no time for unnecessary fights.

“I was raised in the same ghetto with Tuku in Highfield.

“I worked with him and he taught me professionalism.

“I managed to live to this day because of the teachings that he gave me,” he said.

Added Svosve:

“As we mourn Tuku, I urge his family to be strong.

“Tuku played his part, we must celebrate his life. ”
