Starting at 6pm, the all-night musical jamboree parades a star-studded line-up led by Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria, Suluman Chimbetu and Sandra Ndebele.

Revolutionary singer Chief Hwenje and Last “Tambaoga” Chiangwa are part of the bill and so are the Chillspot clique led by DJ Fantan.

The burly entertainer assured fans they will be travelling to Murambida with the whole team of DJ Levels, Ribhe and Ras Caleb.

Energetic performer, Jah Signal, Mark Ngwazi, Bio Mudimba of the Kujatajata fame and Simon Mutambi are also part of this star cast.

Gospel lovers have Argatha Murudzwa and Mathias Mhere to take care of their interests while Diana Samkange,  Bigboy Motsi and Takura will play their part.

Before the gala, the annual children’s party, uniformed forces drills and the Uhuru Cup challenge match between Highlanders and Dynamos will keep Zimbabweans entertained.

Highlanders are the defending champions.

After months of preparations, event organisers have assured Zimbabweans of an explosive event.

Euphoria has since gripped Murambinda Growth which is set to host the mother of all parties.

Today, a huge turnout is guaranteed judging by the event’s appeal.

At 44, Zimbabwe has made major milestones in various sectors and the nation will celebrate all this and also remember those who fought hard to make all this possible.
