URBAN Grooves Linkup Music Concert in the UK has been moved to September 2 at the Dunstable Conference Centre, United Kingdom.
The concert had been slated for August 28.
The organisers of the highly-anticipated Urban Grooves Music Concert said they regretted to announce a change in the event date.
Artists billed to perform include Maskiri, Leonard Mapfumo, Madiz, Tererai, Ngoni Kwambarami, Alexio Kawara, Decibel, Xtra Large, Plaxedes Wenyika and Trevor Dongo.
In a statement, Stellah Entertainment, in partnership with BIMMA Entertainment, said some artists have not yet sorted out their papers to travel in time for the original date of the show.
“This decision has been made in consideration of various factors that will contribute to the overall success and enjoyment of the event.
“However, it has come to our attention that some of the performing artists are currently awaiting the issuance of their visas to travel from Zimbabwe to the United Kingdom.
“In order to ensure that all artists can participate and provide their fans with an unforgettable experience, the event date has been adjusted.
“Furthermore, the decision to move the event date is also influenced by the ongoing voting and elections in Zimbabwe.
“We believe that this change will allow individuals to fully engage in the voting process without missing out on the opportunity to attend this extraordinary music concert,” said the statement.
The organisers said those who will not be able to attend the concert on the new date can have a refund.
“We understand that this change may inconvenience those who have already made plans, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption this may cause.
“We remain committed to delivering an exceptional event and believe that the extra time will allow us to make the Urban Grooves Music Concert an even more memorable occasion.
“All tickets purchased for the original date will be honoured for the rescheduled event.
“Alternatively, ticket holders who are unable to attend on the new date can request a refund through the official ticketing platform.”
