Aston Villa hailed Marvelous Nakamba’s feat of meeting with President Mnangagwa on investment projects
Sought-after English star Jack Grealish led the way describing Nakamba as a legend.
The English Premier League club’s official Instagram handle was the first to comment after Nakamba posted his picture with President Mnangagwa whilst the second comment was from England and Aston Villa Star midfielder Jack Grealish who posted, “You legend Marv!! What a guy!”
Through his verified Instagram account, Nakamba said he feels honoured to be in the presence of the head of State.
“I feel honored meeting the President of Zimbabwe, His Excellence Cde, E.D. Mnangagwa. During the meeting I informed his Excellence on how I will be investing in our beloved country through a number of projects that are already lined up. I will also continue with the charity work through the Marvelous Nakamba Foundation that has already assisted children with school tuition assistance,” he posted.
President Mnangagwa responded through his Facebook Page describing Mnangagwa as patriotic.
“A pleasure and a privilege to speak to one of Zimbabwe’s brightest young talents. Hard working, empathetic and with a unwavering love for his country – all of Zimbabwe’s children should look up to Marvelous Nakamba,” said the President.
Information secretary Nick Mangwana also twitted saying Nakamba met President Mnangagwa as an investor.
“Today Marvelous Nakamba and his team met the President. He comes in as an investor eager to plough back into the community. He was with Dexter Blackstock, a former Nottingham Forest player. Blackstone is very happy to be in Zimbabwe and to have a chance to invest in the country.”
Other Aston Villa players Matty Cash and Tyrone Mings also spoke of Nakamba’s feat immediately after his post.
Cash described Nakamba as ‘legend’ while England defender Mings simply said ‘love it bro.’
