NETHERLANDS-based Zimbabwean songbird, Vimbai Zimuto, says her highly-anticipated EP titled Muto is done and ready to be launched tonight.
Zimuto has collaborated with three local artists to come up with a unique product, which consists of three different genres.
“Muto means soup and to make a rich soup, we need a lot of ingredients like tomatoes, onions, pepper etc and that’s what I wanted my EP to be.
“In short, Muto is a mixture of all my favourite genres,” she said.
Zimuto’s six-track track EP includes reggae, Afro-beat, Jiti, Kizumba songs.
“I collaborated with Baba Harare on my Jiti song and we are going to be performing together on the launch date.
“Diana Samkange is coming to help me kick off the show by playing some of her great songs.
“This EP is a whole package of Vimbai Zimuto’s works in preparation of my coming album.
She added: “This is my little offering from my heart to my fans and I hope they will appreciate the energy that I have put in”.
