FRIGHTENED by her son’s threats and violent behaviour, a Harare woman went to the Harare Civil Court to seek a protection order against him.
Anna Vasairo told the court that her son, Tafadzwa Spingu, was making her life unbearable.
“He comes to my house to insult and harass me. He has even threatened to kill me, and I no longer want to see him at my place.
“He is my son, but his actions really hurt me a lot because as a mother, I also wanted all my children to be better people in life and for us to have a good relationship. I am no longer sure about his mental health because some of the things he does are just incomprehensible,” she said. Tafadzwa was not in court to defend himself, and the order was granted by default.
Tafadzwa was ordered not to insult, assault, harass, threaten or visit his mother’s house.
