CHITUNGWIZA based rapper Nkosilathi “Voltz JT” Sibiya has revealed that his collaboration with Holy Ten on the track called How Far was mainly driven by public demand though it was one of his wishes to work with the latter.

The song How Far, recorded at Holy Ten’s studio, has been well received in the Zim hip hop circles and it is trending on Apple Zimbabwe charts and other platforms.

In an interview with H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle, Voltz JT said most of his followers were yearning for this collaboration with the self-proclaimed “leader of the youth”.

“Most of the fans were requesting the collabo especially in the social media comment sections.

“It was by public demand because they think me and Holy Ten are of the same calibre.

“Personally I am a fan of Holy Ten’s sound. He told me he’s a fan of my sound too. So the collabo was just pure chemistry and flawless, even the recording sessions had so much vibes to them,” said Voltz JT.

Though most hip hop fans are loving the collaboration, the 22-year-old revealed that there is a section that was clamouring for a beef between him and Holy Ten.

“The fans are going crazy. They have received the project well, however there are some fans who were disappointed with me working with Holy Ten because they wanted me to beef with him and create a feud.

“For the sake of progress I chose collaboration over beef,” he said.

“This song will be a step forward in my career. Featuring a mainstream artiste makes me closer to being one,” he added.

Voltz JT said the song , How Far, is to impact positive vibe to people.

“How Far is an encouragement song. I’ll be asking the listener how far they are willing to go to make things work.

“My hopes are that when the listeners hear any of my songs hey find something in them to add value to their moral being and personality,” he told H-Metro.

Voltz JT’s dream is to make hip hop number one genre in the country. He recorded his first song in 2016 titled Boys Rangu.

Volts JT who signed to Mulanation Record label and branded his hip hop sound as Jecha Trap (JT), has 2 EPs to his credit, the first one was a joint EP with Kerposh called Power Moves and the recent one released this year called Mayhem and Modies.

His recent songs like These Days and Nyaya Dzemari have been well received and made him visible in the showbiz.
