UPCOMING gospel artiste, Masimba Ngwenya, is pleased with the response he got after the release of his single entitled Wamasimba.
The 24-year-old was optimistic he will make it in the music industry although he conceded it is going to take him time.
The soothing single has all the ingredients of making it on the gospel music scene with the deep lyrics by the young musician.
“After going through a rough patch in my life that’s when I meditated on this song where the Holy Spirit taught me to put my trust in God and know that he is God and he has better plan for me though at that it looked like the situation was hopeless,” poured out the 24-year-old.
“The song is actually a testimony of my life. Growing up without a father, I had to depend more on Jesus. He is my inspiration. He is the one who has been there for me in the place of my father.”
With a fusion of sungura, Hip Hop, and House, Ngwenya seems to be following in the footsteps of South Africa based artiste, Mkhululi Bhebhe.
“The single is actually bringing different generations on one beat,” he said.
Ngwenya who is also a fashion designer, event manager and a marketer.
He is however keen to take up the music profession seriously.
“I have always wanted to be a musician. I am ready to take up the music profession for good because that is where my passion is.
“I have been singing at church since 2009 and this year I took it further. My family has been supporting me all the way,” he said.
