ZIFA president Felton Kamambo says some senior national soccer team matches will be played at Barbourfields in Bulawayo during his tenure.Responding to a question on Twitter yesterday, Kamambo said the Warriors ought to play in Bulawayo as they are a national brand.

“Like i said the Warriors are a National brand. We will bring them to Byo. Its only a matter of time, i am sure my Board will agree to that…”

Kamambo was giving an update on his trip to South Africa where they are engaging their counterparts at the South Africa Football Associations.

“I led a ZIFA delegation for a bench-marking trip to our friends SAFA with the intent to learn from them and find ways we can work together closely going forward for the good of Zimbabwean football.

“We plan to implement all we learn here.

“We can only improve our football if we build strategic alliances from friends like @SAFA_net. From Women football to PSL, Region and provinces to grassroots, we need men and women that will shange the face of our football across Zimbabwe.

“We are exploring ways we can run exhange programs with @SAFA_net to better our football. We want to be the best and to be the best we must learn from those who are more established than us.”

He believes professionalism will be key to the growth of the game.

“…it’s the only way our corporates can take us seriously so we can get sponsors for our game when they see how dedicated we are to getting better in corporate governance and administration of the game.”
