Warriors hail Billiat Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat

WARRIORS captain Knowledge Musona yesterday paid tribute to Khama Billiat and ‘supported’ his decision to quit the national team.

Billiat on Monday announced his retirement from international football.

And responding to Billiat’s post on Twitter, Musona saluted the Kaizer Chiefs star for his contribution to the national team.

“Well served Warrior. You fought a good fight mfana Wangu,” wrote Musona.

Defender Tendayi Darikwa described Billiat as ‘one of the best’.

“One of the best I’ve shared a football pitch with. Well done on achieving a dream my brother,” wrote Darikwa.

The Wigan captain has been key member to the Zimbabwe senior football national team since his commitment to the cause.

Alec Mudimu says it is an honour to have played in the same team with Khama Billiat.

He was responding to the Kaizer Chiefs’ tweet.

“What an honour to share a pitch with you,” wrote Mudimu.

Billiat’s retirement has been received with mixed reactions with some calling for him to quit after the Afcon finals.
Zimbabwe are set to participate at the continental football showdown to be hosted by Cameroon in January.
