EVERYTHING appears to be green at CAPS United.
They have signed some of the better players in the Castle Lager Premiership and the signs are that there is going to be a consistent flow of incentives this season.
The Green Machine will begin their campaign with a tricky home fixture against Manica Diamonds at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday. Coach Lloyd Chitembwe has continued his romance and confidence in the veterans.
They have lured Kelvin Madzongwe, Adrian Silla, Tafadzwa Rusike, Ashley Rayners and Hastings Chapusha into their fold.
Veteran midfielder, Devon Chafa, believes they are in good space to complete a turnaround.
“The pre-season campaign has given us so much to think about, everything went well and everyone is excited to get started.
“We have what it takes to fight for everything that comes our way, be it the league or the cups.
“The new signings have added depth to our camp and there’s competition in all the departments, which is very key, when you want to challenge for the title.” Chafa said they were aware of what the Gem Boys could do. Last season, CAPS United suffered a 2-6 loss at the hands of the same opponents in Mutare.
“Every game brings you a chance to rectify last season’s mistakes and I think we are prepared.
“It’s a new season and our fans should expect a better season, we just want them to remain supportive,” he said.
