PRESIDENT Mnangagwa says it’s not right for clubs like Dynamos to be playing their home matches away from Harare.
The capital’s clubs are now virtually homeless because there are no suitable venues in Harare to host Premiership matches.
Currently, there are no topflight football games being played in the capital because of the lack of suitable stadiums.
Addressing a massive gathering of Zanu PF supporters in Harare yesterday, the President said Government will renovate the stadiums in the capital.
“It is regrettable that soccer matches have been suspended in Harare as a result of the present state of stadiums.
Now, Dynamos DeMbare has to play its home games in other towns and cities.
“I say no; we are going to renovate the stadium so that DeMbare can play here. It must be proud. We cannot allow our DeMbare to suffer,” said President Mnangagwa.
