BLACK RHINOS player Masimba Mambare says they fully utilised the golden opportunity to bang the highest winning margin this season, thrashing Mutare City 7-0 at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Until Sunday, FC Platinum’s 6-0 victory over Mutare City had been the season’s biggest victory.
“The coach told us to have an early goal and we delivered. We knew that it was game we were going to score as many goals as we want.
“Everyone rose to the occasion and we scored for fun. We utilised the opportunity of banging goals,” said Mambare.
“We capitalized on the opportunity we got. A better offer presented itself and we did justice to the offer.
“We did not want to later regret not scoring above five goals in that game,” he said.
After settling for a draw against log leaders FC Platinum in their previous game, Mambare said they had rectified mistakes against the champions.
“In our game against FC we missed a lot of chances.
“All the areas we were okay but we were missing chances but we were different when we played Mutare City. From training it was always coming, the only question was which team was going to be on the receiving end.
“We kept our confidence, we kept on attacking and we finally got the goals we are looking for.
“We have been looking for a win and thank God we made it. It was all about team work, we complimented each other well.”
