WHAT am I gonna tell our girls George?
That was the powerful question, pregnant with pain, which George Chigova’s shattered widow, Noku, asked shortly after her husband died in Gauteng on Wednesday.
She chose to ask it on her social media pages.
“It was all about our family,” she continued.
“You had your face and mine tattooed, you have our girls faces as well.”
Yesterday, she as short and precise:
“This hurts George.”
She attached an H-Metro front page, in which we screamed “GOODBYE GEORGE” in our edition yesterday.
She also attached another family photo.
This is a young family, which has lived its life under the spotlight, choosing to share their best moments on the social media platforms.
They introduced their two young daughters to the public and chronicled their growth.
They were a young couple madly in love and there is no question that Noku will struggle to live without the comfort arms of her sweetheart.
The former Warriors ‘keeper died in his sleep at home on Wednesday.
He was just 32 and had been dealing with some complicated heart challenges.
“They were a model couple, if you check many of our young celebrity couples you will see that their unions have collapsed whenever they have come here because there are a lot of temptations this side,” said a colleague of the couple, who chose not to be named.
There has been overwhelming support towards Noku and her grieving family from friends.
